I ordered the BSSET Sea Salt Pomade as I have been searching for an alternative to the one I have used previously, and at £12.95 for 100 ml (at the time of ordering), I decided to give it a whirl.I am so glad I did, I have finally found a product which works extremely well for me.The tub is of great quality and it comes sealed which is always a plus for me. Upon opening the wonderful, gentle non overpowering aroma was lovely and the pomade is thick and creamy and very easy to scoop out.I have used this on slightly damp hair and dry hair, both with great results. I only used an amount about the size of my little finger nail on shoulder length hair and that was quite sufficient.The finish is matte, so no shiny odd bits of hair and the volume and texture it creates is exactly what I was looking for.Plus, it has a great hold factor too. If you feel your hair has gone a little flat or you are someone who is constantly running there fingers through your hair, it just gives it that oomph back.I have also added it the following day without washing my hair and it did not feel like my hair had a load of product in it.I have not experienced any greasiness from this product and it washes out very easily.As mentioned above, at the price of £12.99 it is slightly more than some shop bought items but for me the quality outweighs the price and is value for my money.…………** I was sent this item free of charge as a member of the Vine Program in return for an honest review of any item received.**
Smells really good and holds just as good as my usual stuff. It's less thick than I was expecting but this is probably a good thing. You also get a decent amount in the jar too. Depending on the price of this when I go to buy it again, it may become my go-to. It also definitely gives a matte finish.

This Sea Salt Pomade works well for adding texture and volume to my hair. The matte finish looks natural and not greasy, and it holds my style throughout the day.It’s easy to apply, especially on damp hair, and gives a nice thickening effect. The hold is strong but not too stiff, which I like.Overall, a solid pomade for everyday styling, though very thick hair might need a bit more product for maximum hold.
Surprised by the strong hold on my short thick hair. I'm traditionally a Dax Red Wax user.It doesn't seem to break up over the course of the day.There's no powdery residue falling off either.I've been using this fow 2 weeks, applied to towel dried hair and the tub is still almost full, so good value for money.Not much is required.I've not noticed any unpleasant smells, not does it make your hair shiny and rock hard. Just holds well.Id definitely recommend trying this.
I use the BSSET Sea Salt Pomade as a pre-styler and it works great. It's easy to apply to this hair and gives good grip and hold.I normally work a small amount of this into damp hair before blow-drying and it makes styler my hair so much easier as it does 90% of the work. It provides a natural matte finish without drying out my hair.It's also not greasy at all and washes out easily with a little bit of shampoo. Great value for how much product you get (100ml) I would recommend!
Thos hair hold pomade is pretty good and holds a lot for long hours too, very easy to use and not too hard to remove neither , you just need to wash your head twice.Price was about £13 nor bad value
I’ve been using this as a texturiser rather than a pomade and it’s great. It has a subtle but pleasant smell and is non-greasy and not at all sticky. It holds well and I find it superior to wax for texturising because it doesn’t clump you hair together or turn your head into a fluffball if disturbed too much. It also doesn’t set hard. It washes out very easily too.A great product and good value for money.

How often should I use BSSET products?
Our products can be used daily or as often as needed to achieve your desired style, but more isn’t always better. While our styling products aren’t harmful, it’s important to maintain a proper wash routine to avoid product build-up.
How often should I wash my hair
There isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer, as everyone’s hair is different. However, as a general rule of thumb, we recommend shampooing 1–2 times a week. Coily and thicker curly hair typically benefits from washing once a week, while thinner straight or wavy hair might need washing twice a week.
It’s important to use shampoo when using styling products to prevent product build-up, and we also recommend incorporating a conditioner into your wash routine. On days when you’re not applying styling products or doing a full wash routine, you can refresh your hair with water.

How do I identify my hair type
Everyone’s hair is unique, and it’s normal to have more than one hair type. For example, you might have a mix of 3A curls at the front and 3B curls at the back of your head.
You don’t need to know your exact type to find the right product. As long as you can identify whether your hair is straight, wavy, curly, or coily, you’ll be good to go. Sometimes, your true hair type only shows when your hair is grown out. For instance, many people with curly hair find their curls are less noticeable when their hair is short but become more defined as it grows longer.
Using the right products can also help bring out your natural pattern, making it easier to see your true hair type over time.
Will it make my hair greasy or crunchy?
No. BSSET stylers are built for flexible hold with a soft, natural finish — no grease, no crunch, no stiffness. If you want more hold on curls, layer Curl Gel over Curl Cream — cream always goes on first.
Do I apply styling products to wet or dry hair?
Curl Cream and Curl Gel go on soaking wet hair — straight out of the shower, don’t towel-dry first. Sea Salt Spray and Pomade work on towel-dried or dry hair for texture and volume.
Can I get curls if my hair is straight?
Our products enhance your natural texture — wavy hair (type 2) gets defined, springier waves, and curly or coily hair (types 3–4) gets soft definition and moisture. They won’t create curls that aren’t there — for straight hair, Sea Salt Spray and Pomade add texture and volume instead.
Is BSSET just for men?
No — our products are made for your hair type, whoever you are. Plenty of our customers are women using them themselves or on their kids’ curls.
Does it wash out easily?
Yes — our stylers are water-based and wash out with your normal shampoo. Keep a regular wash routine to avoid build-up.
