I ordered this hoping for a bit more texture and volume, and it does exactly that.A few sprays into slightly damp hair and it gives a natural, beachy lift without weighing anything down. It doesn’t leave that awful crunchy or sticky feeling that some sea-salt sprays do, and the scent is fresh but not overpowering.I’ve used it on both straight and wavy days and it works well either way. A simple, effective product that does the job.

I've been trying a bunch of different products to make my hair do what I want it to do, and I think this is my favourite. The spray bottle is a decent size, and isn't stupidly tall or an odd shape like a similar, popular brand you find in the shops. I sprayed on a bunch on wet hair and it gives my hair texture without looking crusty or being sticky.

This BSSET sea salt spray is 250ml, which is larger than many other similar products, ensuring it will last a long time. It also has a pleasant smell, which is not overpowering. I have shoulder-length flyaway hair and occasionally use sea salt products to give it texture and volume. Unfortunately, this product didn't achieve much for my hair. The salt crystals are supposed to roughen up the hair cuticles, giving the hair texture and volume. However, I didn't notice any change to the texture of my hair. I have tried using more of the spray, but this doesn't lead to much improvement and also diminishes the product's value for money aspect.

Note: I want to preface that this was given as part of Amazon Vine so it was a free product, however, I aim to deliver an honest and unbiased review based off my own experience.__________I've been looking for a Sea Salt spray for a while as I like adding it to my hair styling routine to give extra body and hold to my hair; so far, it's been a mixed but mostly positive surprise. The packaging is simple but feels like it could survive a few knocks without leaking. The spray nozzle is decent and gives a nice mist rather than a weak trickle, which is important for even coverage.When I used this on damp hair, I got that “textured, beachy” effect without it feeling crunchy or stiff. My straight hair got a bit of lift and movement and I love the matte finish as it doesn’t look greasy or overdone. That said, on really humid days or when my strands were a bit oily, it doesn’t have enough strength to fight everything so I sometimes layered it with a light hold product.I'd say the biggest downside for me would be that it's not the easiest to brush out and can easily snag on a comb or brush; even after washing. It might be that I need to use less, but something to bear in mind especially if you have thinner, weaker hair.Overall this is a perfect formula and gives hair some great texture and decent hold, however, if your hair needs serious hold or you're in extreme weather, you’ll want backup.
I have long mid back length hair and if I don't put any products on it, it tends to just go very flat and flyaway.I washed my hair as usual and put on conditioner and mousse, then added the spray. I dried it with a hair dryer and it did seem to have more body that just mousse alone.I will certainly continue to use it as it doesn't make the hair sticky or attract the dirt, which some products do.Definitely recommend.
This is a great quality sea salt spray that comes in a a very reasonable price for a large 250ml bottle. It doesn't leave an obviously sticky residue but holds firm enough to texture, style and re-style as needed throughout the day. I did find that towards their end of the day the spray would loose some effectiveness for hold but not enough to be problematic. There isn't much of a smell to the product either which is something to consider. I personally like my sea salt sprays to contain a mild perfume but I do appreciate that a lot of people prefer a non-scented product here so it comes down to personal preferences. In terms of quality, I really cannot fault this product at all. It does what it says and provides a very natural looking finish when applied. Will I change over from my preferred brand to this, probably not, but only because the current product I use has that signature scent I prefer. For all other purposes however, the products are almost identical in application and hold. All in all a great quality spray that is more than worthy of your consideration. Great!
I really wanted to try this, as my shoulder length, fine, wavy hair doesn’t hold a style well, so I thought this would be perfect for adding texture and volume. The first time I used it, I think I used too little as there was very little effect. But the 2nd time, maybe I overdid it, as the ends held volume well but my hair was greasy within 24 hours, which never usually happens. And although I was careful to only spray this on the mid lengths to ends of my hair, it didn’t add any volume to the middle of my hair, only the ends looked textured. I’ll keep trying as maybe I just haven’t got it right but so far, I’m a bit disappointed. It smells nice, but at this price it’s not great value for money even though the spray bottle is a decent size. It may be more effective for longer hair when it can be primarily used on the ends.
Good product and does the same / similar to other salt spray products - For me then it would be down to price if discounted would be a good item to go for.

Our products can be used daily or as often as needed to achieve your desired style, but more isn’t always better. While our styling products aren’t harmful, it’s important to maintain a proper wash routine to avoid product build-up.
How often should I wash my hair
There isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer, as everyone’s hair is different. However, as a general rule of thumb, we recommend shampooing 1–2 times a week. Coily and thicker curly hair typically benefits from washing once a week, while thinner straight or wavy hair might need washing twice a week.
It’s important to use shampoo when using styling products to prevent product build-up, and we also recommend incorporating a conditioner into your wash routine. On days when you’re not applying styling products or doing a full wash routine, you can refresh your hair with water.

How do I identify my hair type
Everyone’s hair is unique, and it’s normal to have more than one hair type. For example, you might have a mix of 3A curls at the front and 3B curls at the back of your head.
You don’t need to know your exact type to find the right product. As long as you can identify whether your hair is straight, wavy, curly, or coily, you’ll be good to go. Sometimes, your true hair type only shows when your hair is grown out. For instance, many people with curly hair find their curls are less noticeable when their hair is short but become more defined as it grows longer.
Using the right products can also help bring out your natural pattern, making it easier to see your true hair type over time.
Will it make my hair greasy or crunchy?
No. BSSET stylers are built for flexible hold with a soft, natural finish — no grease, no crunch, no stiffness. If you want more hold on curls, layer Curl Gel over Curl Cream — cream always goes on first.
Do I apply styling products to wet or dry hair?
Curl Cream and Curl Gel go on soaking wet hair — straight out of the shower, don’t towel-dry first. Sea Salt Spray and Pomade work on towel-dried or dry hair for texture and volume.
Can I get curls if my hair is straight?
Our products enhance your natural texture — wavy hair (type 2) gets defined, springier waves, and curly or coily hair (types 3–4) gets soft definition and moisture. They won’t create curls that aren’t there — for straight hair, Sea Salt Spray and Pomade add texture and volume instead.
Is BSSET just for men?
No — our products are made for your hair type, whoever you are. Plenty of our customers are women using them themselves or on their kids’ curls.
Does it wash out easily?
Yes — our stylers are water-based and wash out with your normal shampoo. Keep a regular wash routine to avoid build-up.
